Santa Barbara Drum Teacher who started playing at age eleven from many local teachers in New York and in Southern California area.  By the time I was in junior high and high school I was playing in concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands and playing in local rock cover bands.

While attending Santa Barbara City College, I had an after school job working at Mike’s Drum Shop where I helped with sales, repairs, and just doing whatever was needed to keep the shop running smoothly.  By the mid 80s I became a drum teacher, professional drummer, and studio musician for hire. I have been doing it ever since.

Most recently, I have opened a new business called Santa Barbara Drum Lab.

I try to teach my students the same things that have worked for me: less means more and timing and groove are everything.  I focus mostly on rudiments, basic reading, dynamics, double bass and cover a little bit of every style.  My goal with my students is to help them make any band they play with sound great.

My musical influences are Steve Gadd, Gregg Bissonette, Luis Conte, John and Jason Bonhame and Thomas Lang.  For more info about me you can access my Facebook page.
